Years of unresolved trauma, debilitating gut issues, and the relentless stress I witnessed as an ER nurse pushed me to the edge of my physical and emotional limits.
In the ER, I not only saw the overwhelming toll chronic stress and unprocessed emotions took on patients and providers alike, but I also came to a stark realization: the healthcare system wasn't addressing root causes. Instead, it relied heavily on throwing pills at patients to manage symptoms, leaving the underlying issues unaddressed. I felt trapped in a system that didn’t align with the healing I believed was possible, and it only deepened my own sense of burnout and disconnection.
It was clear something had to change. I knew I needed to find a way to reconnect with my body, process my emotions, and step out of the survival mode that had consumed my life for years. That’s when I walked into my first breathwork class and discovered meditation, which allowed me to disconnect from my physical body, heal my mind, and ultimately help my body begin to function again.
Through these practices, I began to release the emotional weight I had been carrying for years. Breath by breath, I found clarity, peace, and a renewed sense of purpose. These tools became the foundation of my healing, allowing me to step out of fight-or-flight mode and begin living fully again.
